Summer is upon us, and there is no better time to enjoy eating healthy and supporting Alpharetta farmers. Farmers Markets are a place where local farmers and food producers come together to sell directly to their customers. By shopping here you can support the local economy, eat locally sourced foods, and get to know more of your community.
The Alpharetta Farmers Market was started in 2006 and is currently a space where about 80 local vendors sell their products. It is open every Saturday from April 13th through October 26th from 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Here you can find everything from locally grown produce, sustainably raised meat, fresh flowers and plants, hand-crafted gifts, and specialty food products. For five years in a row, this market has won the Farmers Market award for “Best of North Atlanta.” Just a ten-minute drive from our Alpharetta apartments, this market is especially convenient for our residents. Cheeky Maiden Soap Co
The Cheeky Maiden Soap Co is a family business based in Tucker, GA. The Carter family began making natural soaps in 2006 after learning about the dangerous chemicals in most mass produced soap products. Since then they’ve expanded to making other cleaning and body care products such as bar shampoo, bath bombs, and laundry soap.
The Candle Kid
Founded by a middle school student in 2017, The Candle Kid makes eco-friendly candles from soy wax and natural wood wicks. Owen Winn was inspired to create a candle that was free from harmful substances like phthalates and chemical dyes. His most popular scents are “Cotton Blossom,” “Espresso Latte,” and “Moonlight Path.”
Tribble Farms LLC
Tribble Farms produces raw, all natural honey from North Georgia. They have farms in three counties, resulting in three distinctly different flavors of honey. In addition to their wildflower honey, you can find them selling flavor-infused honey and all natural beeswax products, such as lip balms and healing skin salves.
